The 1st MQK International 2025 is designed as a competition to showcase the abilities of santri from across Indonesia and Southeast Asian countries in reading, understanding, and articulating the contents of classical Islamic texts (Kitab Kuning). This The 1st MQK International 2025 aims to motivate and enhance the skills of santri in studying and deepening their knowledge of Islamic religious sciences based on Kitab Kuning, as part of the broader effort to nurture future ulama and community leaders. Additionally, it seeks to strengthen silaturahmi (bonds of friendship) among Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren) throughout Indonesia and Southeast Asia, in pursuit of greater Islamic unity in the region.
